What a coincidence...I'm getting an otter tattoo in one month's time on my shoulderblade :)

It was my nickname in college, a shortened version of my last name. Why did you pick that for your tattoo? It seems an odd choice, or at least rare.

Well, I'm often being called 'otter' by my friends too, it's because I love to lie in the sun (usually while sleeping) and swim (not to mention one of my friends claims that my voice is otter-ish, whatever that should mean). I prefer river otters to sea ones, though. :) I've been thinking about getting an otter tattoo for a long time, since I find otters really great - smart, lovely and everything. And well, I was just browsing around for pictures of otters and found one that was really great ... so I decided to get it tattooed. Simple as that. :) I know it's a rare choice, I managed to find only two or three otter tattoos on the Internet, but I guess I like the idea even more because of that.
