3. A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier by Ishmael Beah

4. Compassionate Conservatism: What it is, What it Does, and How it Can Transform America by Marvin Olasky

5. The Road by Cormac McCarthy

Fast Food Nation was a FASCINATING read for me. Incidentally i don't eat any kind of fast food any more and I gave up meat. Not all due to the book, but due in great part to what I learned about mass production.
I am considering this challenge--i have SO MUCH reading going this summer, but it is hard to resist.
