Hey Otter... I took the linguistic profile, and ended up 65% general American, 25% yankee, and 10% upper midwestern.
Posted by: jollyswan on May 10, 2005 08:49 PMJohn looks down his nose at my midwestern roots, but I guess I am "more English" than he is, or at least I use it more correctly. Or both.
My results:
80% General American English
10% Upper Midwestern
5% Midwestern
5% Yankee
0% Dixie
Comparing our responses to this survey, it's a wonder we ended up together. We practically speak two different languages (which John contends at times). Ah, l'amour.
Posted by: John's Wife on June 25, 2005 09:42 PMoh yeah, all married couples speak two different languages, most of the time. After almost 3 years though, I'm getting better at translation occasionally :)
I'm off to take my quiz, wonder what mix I'll be?
